OOC: Yeah, forgot about that... The jets are clearing a path beforehand, and then engaging enemies that appear to be trying to counter the missile strike. The missile is not armed while in flight, so if it is taken down, the fighters will not necessarily go down with it. They'll be armed as they near the target. Also, napalm was used in concentrated areas with the intent of eliminating as much of the opposing force without causing too much damage to the environment.

Ethan Foley Military Report
April 1, 2014
Today marked a new attack on Samukan. Although the 5,000,000 soldiers within the Samukan mainland were mostly being resupplied and reequipped with new clothing, ammunition, and rations, a total of 1,000,000 soldiers set foot on Samukan's territory on the southern part of the island that is west of the Kennan mainland. The soldiers set foot on the northern coastline of the territory after a 200 mile landing craft trip. Accompanying the landing crafts were two aircraft carriers and two wolf packs comprised of mainly battleships and destroyers. The landing crafts released all 2,000,000 soldiers in the morning as well as 200 tanks and armored vehicles as well as 1000 jeeps and other miscellaneous equipment necessary to set up a temporary base. The battleships and destroyers fired approximately 10-15 miles inland bombarding as much civilization as possible. The soldiers stayed near the coast, getting rations and rest, preparing for a major offensive tomorrow while the battleships continued firing. The armored vehicles and artillery set up a defensive position along a perimeter on the northern coast, protecting the soldiers and their equipment. The aircraft carriers were launching and refueling aircraft all day as around 300 aircraft equipped with missiles and bombs headed towards the inland areas bombing military bases and highly populated civilian areas. They attempted to destroy as many runways and landing strips as possible. In the small Samukan territory that borders Ethan Foley due east of Neutral Island, 500 bombers and protective fighter aircraft did bombing runs on highly populated areas and the military bases. The bombings will be going on for at least 24 hours, and will be destroying as much land as possible. Five nuclear bombs have just been dropped on the small territory as well. Approximately 500,000 soldiers have crossed the border and are in the process of taking the Samukan land on the main island. Once the bombings are over, the soldiers will take landing craft and cross the small channel to invade the island. In the Samukan mainland, the 5,000,000 troops have made little advancements since the major offensive attacks yesterday. The train tracks and highways in the north have been utilized by the military to quickly send food, ammunition, and shelter needs for the soldiers. In the east, aircraft and small vehicles have sent the same supplies for the 500,000 men. The aircraft were also re-supplied with Agent Orange, Sarin, Tabun, Nitrogen Mustard, Chlorine, and Phosgene and are releasing them in massive amounts by dropping them via aircraft over forests and highly populated areas. They are also being released through artillery shells, and artillery regiments have begun firing Sarin and Tabun on the millions of enemy soldiers in the distance. Casualty rates are expected to be catastrophic due to the lack of warning. In the Ethan Foley mainland, several nuclear missiles hit near the City of Foley. Casualty rates peaked at around 240,000 Human Resources and Slaves. Nuclear clean-up has begun. During these major conflicts, 16 Ethan Foley Special Op Troops have been sent to Neutral Island to talk with the Samukan representative. The Samukan Representatives stormed off in anger, and Neutral Island was blown up by an explosive bomb moments later by Ethan Foley officials. This was a very symbolic action. The Ethan Foley soldiers at the Military Base at Hackleberry Islands saw a Samukan jet approaching the islands on their radar. "Shoot them down! Shoot them down!" one of the bosses shouted in the Command Room. A series of red buttons were pushed, and alarms are sounded. 200 jets were scrambled from the base and began a circling pattern around Hackleberry Islands. Once the jet approached Hackleberry Islands, many broke formation and fired heat sinking missiles at the jet. They were all prepared for death, so once they ran out of missiles they prepared to do a kamikaze style suicide and collide with the slower jet.
