OOC: I hope Im doing alright if I do something wrong or ge too carried away (like now) please dont hesitate to tell me I just went ahead and bombed some buildings, I hope thats how it works or do I ask Guadalajara what I can do/ tell him my plans and wait for a response? 8th September, 8:30 am Standard Time Ministry of Defence Complex, Government District, Madegrad, Great Carlistan Lord Minister of External Security and Defence looked up as the group of Intelligence Officers entered the meeting room, dominated by a large oval table and already filled with military personell and civilian representatives with their aides scurrying around and letting a wave of noise from the Tactical Floor outside wash over those present every time the security door slid open. With everybody having arrived, the meeting was ready to start. "Lets do this. First of all, I would like everybody present to be briefed on Operation Mythology. Commander, whenever you are ready." "Thank you mylord," a man two chairs to Grenkontrevic's right with generals' insignia stood up: "Intelligence reports indicate a large and well-equipped Guadalajarian navy, the potentials of which are known to all of us. However, maintaining such a force costs millions, billions in times of war and we do not plan to allow the Guadalajarians to have the means to do so." "Why?" a female officer across the table inserted herself into the report, "The Carlistinian navy has never lost us a single war. What is the problem?" "There is no problem, apart from certain people not doing their research," growled the General, steely grey eyes boring through the woman facing him, "However, we are at a natural disadvantage. The Guadalajarians have their harbours where they can go for resupply, repairs, shelter and an air force which can refuel and be thrown back at us in a matter of few minutes. Furthermore, there is no reason why this conflict should go on longer than it has to. Seeing as their leading industry is tourism, this is what Operation Mythology will target. The declaration of war has done its part but we want the Guadalajarian economy ground to dust." "Excactly," the Minister was speaking again, "Have your men started already?" "Yes sir." One of the Intelligence Staff that had just come in answered: "The operation was initiated as you gave your speech." "Very good. Moving on to stay on schedule, the Third Imperial Fleet will be moving out in due course. Admiral Jehrac?" "Yes mylord. Our ships will be leaving in 30 minutes, with an ETA of 15 hours and instructions to report back before launching Operations Doppelgänger and Morgenröte. The Third Fleet will be reinforced by the 8th and 61st Naval Supply Coloumns, IAF attack squadrons Ansch, Besh, Caractil and Hovinger as well as the bomber formations Baxylon, Kolivin and Yerrus. Three nuclear submarines from the Second Imperial Fleet will also be complementing our own, although none will be armed with nuclear warheads." "Why is that?" a grizzled senior officer demanded after a moment of silence. "The Ministry" Admiral Jehrac glanced at Grenkontrevic, "has decreed that weapons of mass destruction may only be used in extreme and dire situations directly threatening the Empire and nuclear weapons shall not be used under any circumstances unless approved by his royal majesty, our glorious Emperor himself. our objective is to teach Guadalajara a lesson, not decimate their civilian population and poison their soil." "Very good Admiral. Thank you. Mr Herringev please brief us on the situation you are currently handling." "Yes, Lord Minister." One of the civilians stood up, "A Skuyan humanitarian aid group which calls itself Aid Generation has voiced its goal to travel to Guadalajara and aid our enemy. Unfortunately, the Diplomatic Corps was rather afraid of the intrnational echo if we were to stop them so they will be allowed to leave Imperial territories." Surprised at the lack of outraged shouts that these traitors should be stopped, hanged, shot, quartered and shot again, the man sat down, missing Grekontrevic's short but meaningful eye contact with one of the Intelligence Officers. "That would be all", announced the minister, standing again, "Please be ready for more of these meetings on short notice, we are at war again and God, I have missed it." As the rest of the people rose and clicked their heels for the Imperial Salute, the Intelligence Agents were already slipping away; they had a lot of work to do. 8th September, 9:03 am Standard Time

OCC: Is time getting messy again? The bombs fall at 20:10, and then everything goes nuts. I'll follow a couple hours after the incident. Presidential bunker, ruins of the House of Government, crater where once stood Sroska Nova21:32 ST, September 7The ears of the ministers and the rest of the personnel were still buzzing after such an explosion. The mere idea that everything that was left of their beloved city was mostly nuclear waste terrified everyone, including president Voldzicky. Chances were that the loved ones of most of the people down in the bunker couldn't make it on time. One of the security guards took one of the communication consoles, and started typing. His objective was to retrieve what footage he could from the House's cameras, and revise if any of them was still standing. Of course, none of them were functional, but the video of one of the exterior cameras showed an impressive image: An object falling on the city centre, creating a mushroom cloud as it melted the metal and concrete of the city, along with thousands of poor souls that were waiting for rescue underground, but the radiation filtered the poorly isolated walls of the subway. Then an expansive wave. And the camera turned off. Askska Airbase, Eastern Province21:34 ST, September 7-'It's a sad day, both for Spazstislavia, Kennan and the World as a whole. Aglakow, his name will be remembered by future generations, as the man who sacrificed his life so millions of Spaztislavians could keep theirs.' Said Lt. Wolneusz, a single tear shed on her eye. 'We ought to hold the sea border, so this doesn't happen again. Over that table are the schedules for patrols. We are at war, ladies, this hadn't happened for at least 40 years. Commander Thadeusz notified me that the Guadalajaran army is coming on our aid, and a supply chain has been established all over Spaztislavia. We hold most of the planes of our air force, so it's our duty to defend the borders for long enough.' Meanwhile, Commander Thadeusz boarded an ATV with a couple of his men. The plan was simple enough: they would follow the rural roads of the mountainous area that bordered Guadalajara until they reached the jungle. From there on, they would divert south, in order to reach central Spaztislavia, where supply wouldn't be a problem. Then they would follow the rivers north, cross the swamp and traverse the mountains of the eastern province until they reached Askska. Sroska Nova was avoided on purpose, in order not to expose the army to nuclear fallout. Passing through the area in normal circumstances would have made everything easier, as local transport ships would have facilitated the access to the Eastern Province, instead of having to take the long route. From then on, it was on General Angulo, from Guadalajara to organize the defence.

OOC hey guys I'm really sorry but I cannot continue the RP as School is much more overloaded than I thought. Consider Aldovnia conquered by the joint forces of Foley and Carlistan.

War Room, 500 Feet Below High Command Building, City of Foley10:42 Local Time, September 8"Give me a status report, somebody" the Supreme Dictator ordered. A General replied, "Your Supremacy, the Republic of Guadalajara has not replied to our message and has made clear that they will remained committed to helping their allies. There have also been reports of a terrorist bombing in Guadalajara. Only a few dozen are estimated to be wounded or killed. Furthermore Sir, Guadalajaran ships have fired on our blockade south of Aldov-" " I want one ICBM to hit Guadalajara's capital, New Guadalajara in 30 minutes. We need to send a message to these fools that attacking us will have the gravest of consequences. Also, I want the Second Corps (35,000 personnel) that are just west of Aldovnia to march to Guadalajara and begin an assault on their capital. Have our 20 ships engage the Guadalajaran Navy. Take no prisoners. Sink them all. I want someone to give me an estimate on how long it will take the Second Corps to reach the Guadalajaran Capital!" the Dictator shouted. "Your Supremacy, the ICBM has been launched and is expected to impact Guadalajara at 11:04 am. Quick estimates show that the Second Corps will enter Guadalajaran territory on September 11, if they do not encounter heavy resistance along the way. They are expected to reach the Guadalajaran capital the following day, September 12." General Harry responded. Ocean, 50 Miles South of Aldovnia, Battleship Ethan the Great, Flagship10:51 Local Time, September 8The bridge of the Battleship Ethan the Great was hectic. Guadalajaran Naval vessels had been firing on them for two hours, and both sides were receiving intense losses. The Captain looked onto the horizon with his binoculars while the helmsman turned the ship sharply, performing evasive maneuvers.
All of a sudden, heavy artillery from an enemy ship pierced the side of the bridge and ignited an enormous explosion. Officers and other personnel that were on the left side of the bridge fell off the ship and into the ocean. Others were incinerated on impact. The Captain himself, who had been in the middle of the bridge, was thrown to the ground, unconscious. A few low ranked officers were left on the bridge with no functioning commander, and a bridge that was only partly usable.
One of the able-bodied officers shouted to another, "Lieutenant! Get the Fire Crew up here now! The fire is spreading fast!" The lieutenant nodded his head and frantically ran out of the bridge.
He shouted to the only other person conscious on the bridge, "You! Radio the High Command! Tell them the flagship has caught fire and is in trouble, however we will remain the flagship until we send out a distress call!" The officer replied, "Yes Sir!" and went over to the radios and picked tuned the radio.
The self-appointed commander then took control of the helm, as the fire grew stronger.
5 Minutes Later
The Lieutenant and the Fire Crew arrived to a scene out of a horror movie. The entire bridge was engulfed in flames and the remains of three men, the man at the helm, the officer on the radio, and the Captain, were sprawled across the floor. Moments later, a distress call in morse code sounded out from the Battleship Ethan the Great.
The distress signal stopped abruptly. One could see a torpedo pierce the hull of the battleship.
At 11:00 in the morning, the great and powerful flagship "Ethan the Great" sank below the waves. There were no survivors.

Presidential Palace Bunker, New Guadalajara 11:02 Local Time(A couple of minutes after flagship "Ethan the Great" sinks, two minutes before bomb drops)
Secretary of National Defense Axel Angulo and Secretary of the Navy Jorge Ortiz sat facing the President. Laid across the tables were folders containing the reports of the currently ongoing naval battle with the Military of Ethan Foley. Every ten minutes or so, the situation was updated and a new piece of paper was piled on top the current stack. So far, there was nothing interesting, just intelligence and positioning reports. The long wave radio crackled to life and the president's assistant got ready to type.
"This is Commander Asturias, reporting aboard F211 Ignacio Allende. One flagship sunk after two hours of continued fire, single Harpoon fired a direct hit into the hull. Zero casualties so far. Huracán and Tormenta are currently escorting Papaloapan, Panuco and Montes Azules LST to coast. The other frigates are in formation, ready to fire at the enemy. Over."
The president smiled. He knew it would be easy even if there were only six frigates against twenty ships. The radio crackled back to life.
"Sir, unidentified object flying fast, headed your way!"
That was all he was able to say before the ground shook. A loud boom could be heard and the room went dark for a couple minutes. New Guadalajara had been bombed. The few unlucky people who stayed behind, were all of a sudden, gone. Thousands of buildings decimated instantly as the bomb fell in the center of the country.
-"Get any plane that wasn't destroyed on the air, RIGHT NOW! We are going to destroy that slum Ethan calls a capital."
OOC: Ethan, I hope you're OK with me sinking more ships and (or at least try to) carpet bombing City of Foley. Note: I'm carpet bombing with planes as I do not own a single nuke or otherwise.

Military Operations Core, Echo Island 11:35 Standard Time, September 8th
A knock on the door.
"Sir! Thadone-re!" The knocking on the door becomes more insistent.
Slowly the door opens. "What is it?"
"External radar has detected a massive force of Guadalarajan aircraft moving towards Ethan's capitol. Should we help? The R-ADAPTIV has been installed on 16 EMAC fighters, and the rest - that's about 300 - are equipped with explosives and regular weaponry."
Thadone thinks about this for a moment. "Yes, considering the probable size of Ethan's anti-aircraft defense system. Go ask the other council members."
"There isn't time. If we want the flight patterns to merge in time, we're going to need to approve now."
Thadone hesitates. This is against government standard protocol. However, in times of war, the Grand Councillor has more power than usual..."All right. Send all. We don't have any nuclear weapons to retaliate with, do we?"
"That's against any protocol, sir. We have one, but it is more of a safeguard than a weapon. Firing nuclear missiles can set off a chain reaction of retaliation, as we all know. That's never a wise idea."
"...All right. But keep it well maintained, just in case."
17 minutes and 32 seconds later, 320 Saphluan craft take off and move towards the Ethanian capital with an arsenal of high-density explosives.
16 of the craft break off from the others slightly. They are invisible to radar and heat imaging.
OOC: There is a way to detect these concealed craft, and it involves a light-based radar system (lidar). Funnily enough, no technology of this type has ever been developed for practical use, even though it is more precise. The pilots of these 16 craft use precision infrared lidar to track each other. That is the only way that these craft can be detected other than simply seeing them.
Light-bending tech is too bulky and complex to be used on an aircraft at this point in time. It is, however, under development, and several methods of concealing tiny objects have been found.

8th September, 11:20 am Standard Time Ministry of Defence Complex, Government District, Madegrad, Great Carlistan Minister Grenkontrevic was observing the staff rushing around the Strategic Floor below him from the vantage point on his command podium, when he saw a young communications officer hurry towards him from the consoles of the Comms Bureau to his left, admirably trying though not quite managing to conceal his agitation below a neutral expression and a quick marching pace. He noticed that the Strategic Overview had changed to show the imagess of a radar screen, with plane blueprints being projected against the walls. He only turned when he heard a set of heels click behind him. "Mylord." "Ensign, report." "Yes mylord, thank you mylord. A large wave of military aircraft have been picked up aproaching Ethan Foley territory." Listening to the young man, the minister let his eyes focus on the strategic overview, now displaying a three dimenional map of Soltarem, including the air formation and the most likely flight routes, those few which brought them in range of Carlistinian AA flashing yellow. "The force includes", the Ensign glanced at the pad in his hands, "304 Saphluan and a yet unconfirmed number of Guadalajaran aircraft. Although they do not directly threaten any of our territories the Skuyan IAF Commander has asked for permission to engage in light skirmishes along the formation's flank and pick off any stragglers so as to maximise Guadalajaran losses and attack any returning planes on sight." "What is your assessment?" asked Grenkontrevic, eyes now on the wall opposite him, which had begun showing estimated casualties of a bombing run on a major city. "Mylord, I concur with the Skuyans. Any plane which is brought down lessens the Guadalajarans' potentials for a successful defensive campaign. If they stick to the projected route going over the Western bay or even deviate to the East, Skuyan fighters could even be covered by their Platypus Ground-Air missiles. Skuyaburg", the officer hesitated again, looking at his pad, "currently has 250 missiles ready to fire. If we approve an attack, although I would advise against a full interception, they should have up to 300 ready to fire at will." "So you would attack a foe whose numbers we are not certain of?" "Yes mylord, in this case that would be possible. The Skuyans only want to weaken the flanks, possible draw out and destroy a part of the escort, leaving the bombers vulnerable. They have 12 Queen Anne Interceptor and 20 Soltafighter squadrons based at their Eastern border and are already scrambling their troops." Minister Grenkontrevic nodded. "Tell the commander to go ahead. Thin out the enemy."
Alarms were howling along the entire border. As civilians were prepared for the possibility of the formation turning around to attack Skuyaburg, the IAF bases were in uproar. 8th September, 11:23 am Standard Time IAF 2nd Interceptor Base, Skuyan border to the Federation of the Kyles The air raid siren had started up. For the first time in this conflict, Imperial forces would clash with the enemy and the staff of the Imperial Air Force knew what expectations were put on them. "Scramble. Scramble. Scramble." A cool female voice was repeating the standard order. The 2nd Interceptor base was a huge complex, even by Skuyan standards, housing the crew and attendants of 16 fighters squadrons, 192 planes. Six of these squadrons were Queen Anne Interceptors, the pride of the IAF with very few in active service due to their expensive production and upkeep. Nevertheless, 20% of the military's annual research budget is spent on new technologies to improve them. Worth every Laurits put into their production, Queen Anne Interceptors offer extremely high maneuverability even at even higher speeds, making them very useful for ambushes and the ensuing dogfights. Respected in every military branch, piloting an Interceptor is seen as an even greater honour than any other promotions. Three Interceptor Squadrons were already in the air, heading for the point of ambush. The plan was simple; attack the enemy's flanks, draw them towards the main force of heavily armed Soltafighters and dive away to let them vaporise the foe - repeat.

OOC: I just noticed an inconsistancy in my diplomatic contacts so here is our Carlistinian solution. - Madegrad News Company -
Lord Mikhail Karacjev, former Imperial Minister of Internal Affairs executed for treason! The Imperial Office for Internal Security confirmed the state execution of Lord Mikhail Karacjev, who has been replaced by his daughter, Lady Hennegrad Karacjev, and his wife, Lady Ada Karacjev. The former Minister has been denounced by the entirety of the Imperial Government, having spoken out "against supreme Imperial Orders and therefore the good of the entire Empire of Great Carlistan".
Karacjev had spoken out against an alliance with Ethan Foley repeatedly and even tried to make Carlistinian forces march on his territory. He was convicted of high treason of act, high treason of speech on four and high treason of thought on 36 counts. He is said to have ignored direct Imperial orders and instructions due to "personal, traitorous ideals", favouring those evil states falsely calling themselves "Republics" and "Democracies". His wife had most likely known about this and may even have supported him.
Despite the bad reputation brought upon her by her traitorous parents, Lady Hennegrad has vowed everlasting allegiance to the Imperial Government and sworn to give everything to return her office to its former position, denouncing both mother and father as "enemies to the glorious Empire".
One less traitor! One less heretic! Long live the Emperor!
The Emperor provides, the Emperor protects. God save the Emperor!

Transmission: Diplomatic Communique to the Government of Guadalajara
Subject: Peace Talks
Whoever it may concern,
you have behaved in a most warlike manner, risking the peace and prosperity of the entire region. This is why you were declared war on, why your capital was bombed and why your people will perish. Even now, Carlistinian ships are moving towards your territory and fighters are taking to the skies to intercept your own heading for the Folian territories.
There is but one single, we repeat, single way for you to save not yourselves, not your people or country, but the region of Kennan; bow to our demands and sign an armistice until peace negotiations can be concluded in the future.
Should you agree to a truce, the Carlistinian government would graciously agree to help your own people to rebuild your shining capital after the detonations of missiles launched by the Military of Ethan Foley and give humanitarian aid. In return to agreeing to an armistice however, we demand reparations to pay for a fraction of the costs created by your foolish behavior and forcing us, as a peace-loving protector of Kennanite prosperity, to go to war.
Seeing as your annual military budget consists of 21% of your annual GDP, we demand a payment of three years worth of military expenses to be given to the Empire of Great Carlistan. This way, it will be possible to show the world how peaceful this region can be without Guadalajaran military expenditures driving us into an ever-lasting arms race.
Imperator defendit Imperator vivat!
The Carlistinian Government
