The Second Great War of Kennan - Chapter 1: Prologue to War

    In the year 2013 A.D., the government of the United Socialist States of Jakeopia was overthrown by a secular terrorist group known as the Clan of Mandarin. Their leader, known only as the Great One, outlawed many practices. While the population were free for the most part, those who broke the laws were rarely seen again.
    That same year, the first Azerian aerospace fighter was produced. In response, Ethan Foley attacked Azeria. The Wilder Alliance, who had recently suffered political oppression from Ethan Foley, allied with Azeria and declared war on Ethan Foley. In 2016, Autarch Garret I died in the bombing of the Azerian city Aktarr, where millions of soldiers also perished. In 2018, Autarch Garret II was assassinated by a foreign agent who was promptly executed. The source of the assassination was never known. As Garret II never had children, the bloodline was passed to the Palumar family, and Garret III becomes Autarch. The war with Ethan Foley ended as the Wilder Alliance was bombed, invaded, and claimed by Ethan Foley.
    In 2019, Venom Redstone of the Redstone Union launched a nuclear strike on the Hackleberry Islands. The other nations of Kennan attempted to destroy the missiles, but enough had gotten through to wipe out all above-ground life on the islands. The rest of Kennan decided not to act, in fear of the advanced nuclear weapons, and the Redstone Army invaded and claimed Hackleberry. The survivors of the nuclear strike were brought out and launched into low-Earth orbit, where their capsule exploded. President Hackett faced off Redstone with a machete, but was arrested by Redstonian guards.
    Redstone fell deeper into his insanity, and ordered the brutal executions of millions of Redstonians that feared him. The result was a race of Redstonians that had no fear of their ruler. They believed Redstone to be God Himself.
    In 2020, the Great One orders the construction of hundreds of mines, factories, and power plants around Jakeopia. The Jakeopian economy booms and becomes a leading producer of manufactured goods. Thousands of small, private businesses are shut down.
    Between 2020 and 2023, the Azerian Empire establishes colonies on the Moon and Mars, makes contact with an equine species on the planet Equis, and becomes friends with the Equestrian leaders. Garret III dies of an illness in 2022 and is replaced by Garret IV.
    In 2024, the Azerian Empire is attacked by a hostile alien race. After two years of warfare, the Azerian Space Armada fights the Battle of Equis with over two hundred ships. The Azerian are victorious, and the alien species are wiped from existence. From then, Azeria builds up its power in space, and becomes the strongest space country.
    In 2030, the Great One dies and is replaced by the Mandarin, a member of a terrorist organization. He orders the improvement of military technology and the drafting of all citizens starting at age 15. In 2031, Garret IV dies and is replaced by his son, Garret V.
    In 2032, Ethan Foley declares war on Samukan and the Kennan Federation collapses. After two years of intense warfare, Samukan manages to combat Ethan Foley's military strength with advanced technology, and develops extremely high-powered lasers and energy-based weapons of mass destruction. In 2034, the war ends, and neither country gains or loses anything other than lives.
    In 2035, Azerian Insurrectionists bomb the Autarchian Palace and the capital of Equis, Canterlot. Garret V narrowly escapes death and is healed by Cortalian doctors. Thousands of Azerians and Equestrians are killed.
    In 2037, the Hackleberry States complete the Pandorica, an inescapable prison that keeps occupants immobilized and alive for eternity. Redstone orders the construction of hundreds of millions of Pandoricas.
    In 2041, the Clan of Blood overthrows the Samukanian government and places Tarou Akiyama on the throne of the Samukanian king, and the country becomes an absolute monarchy. All human Samukanians are forced to convert to Pokétheism, and all fifty million non-humans are exterminated. Samukan is renamed the Empire of the Pure of Samukan, and the United Republic falls.
    The same year that the government of Samukan is overthrown, Equis begins to colonize planets with Azeria. In 2045, the Mandarin is overthrown by a close friend of his, who declares himself the Emperor of Jakeopia.
    In 2049, Tarou Akiyama dies and is replaced by his son, Katsuya Akiyama. He shows the strength of the Samukanian military to the rest of Kennan through military parades and exercises.
    In 2050, Azerians begin researching faster-than-light speed technology. In 2052, Venom Redstone locks himself in a Pandorica after a dispute with an alternate personality, and controls Hackleberry through robots from within the Pandorica. In 2053, an uprising in Azeria is suppressed.
    It is now the year 2054, and tensions between countries are increasing.

[Azerian Empire]

Many Azerians are now happily walking around in the Azerian earth capital Pyrrhus. The Azerian space armada is currently overhead samukan and Redstone. Many are to believe tha Autarch Garret alongside TMEF and Jakeopia are to win the war. Azerians also celebrate the new treaties made with the two empires ensuring complete domination of all other countries. We now take you live to where Azerian soldiers are entrenching on the front lines. "Sure," says one soldier as he digs into the frozen ground on a few islands aprox. 20 KM off the coast of samukan. "It may be ice cold here, but look at the brightside, atleast I have this pony to keep me company!" Said the soldier as he points to a golden mare. As of now ponies and humans on Azerian soil and planets are lining up to sign up for the possible war. This has been Fast Skies ( ONLY SAM KNOWS WHERE THIS IS FROM, MUAHAHAHAHAAH) reporting for the Equis News.

Redstone walked through the streets of Neptune City, filled with factories and choked in smog.

Or at least what was left of him.

The real Venom Redstone sits in a sealed Pandorica, alongside millions in his country, shackled into manacles where he has sat for three years, and will continue to live for eternity. He patrols the Streeter with robots, slaved to his prison. He cannot sleep, he does not eat, he does not have any bowel movements, and he does not die from lack of food and water. The perfect prison sees to that by a health field that will keep him alive for quadrillionth of years, where he will live out eternity in that Pandorica, The only way to open it is from the outside.

But that is impossible. Utterly impossible.

To get to Redstone's Pandorica, you'll have to search 150 million of them, stacked together into a giant prism. Most are laden in bedrock too. And Restone himself is near the very bottom of the prison cube, where he is almost literally sitting 200 feet above the mantle. So killing him won't do anything, because you can't.

And he has 4.6 billion soldiers that believe he is God. They are suicide bombers. They simply run into battle and explode in strategic places. And that's why Redstone wins many battles. Because his soldiers are time bombs. But, he's not stupid. If somebody attacks him, he'll retaliate. If people leave him alone, he'll leave them alone.

Thomas Bagel III walked down the pathway of Bagel National Cemetary towards the Peace Garden, a plant paradise founded in memorial for President Hackett, who himself fought Redstone to keep Kennan safe. He lost, but spared Kennan a lot, as Redstone aqcuired brain damage, which severely halted logical thinking. The fountain mist sprayed over him. It felt like a wash of relief. He saluted, and walked away.

Back at the Palace, Tom looked at all the super powers on his digital map.

"TMEF is as strong as ever, Azeria is stronger, Jakeopia, and Samukan have been taken over in coups. And Hackleberry, after being annihilated, consists of factories, bombs, smog that's enough to kill somebody in high density areas, suicidal citizens, and 150 million Pandorica prisons. He shivered. Those things were terrifying.

He turned and looked at his desk's flag, which consisted of Hackleberry, Hadron Federation, Spriteland Isles, and us, before Redstone. Before his grandfather's time, where Kennan was prosperous. His advisors, who sat at the other side of his desk, asked him a question.

"Sir, if I may trouble you, who shall we ally with?" Tom knew Redstone is out, but everyone else is a possibility. He wondered who would come forth.

[The Military of Ethan Foley]

"Forward, March!" Thus was the command for over 200,000 troops occupying Neutral Island. The troops, standing at 11 feet tall with stainless steel fibers, immune to every sickness in existence, and wearing laser-proof armor were getting increasingly hostile towards the rest of Kennan. Being the strongest military force in Kennan, there was really only one option for Supreme Dictator Ethan Foley. War. And with Jakeopia clinging to him, and Azeria wanting to fight Kennan just as much, it wasn't going to be that difficult. However, luckily for his foes, no war had been made official yet. Just maybe a few flying bullets, but nothing special.

[USSJ]

(*static* . . . Camera begins to roll. *scratching noise* video becomes clear) News reporter "After two days, we now learn that Emperor Satoshi has died. (at the very top of Emperor Satoshi's castle, a door opens at the balcony.) I am Emperor Satoshi's right hand man, Bùl?kè·h?l? s?n . . . or as many know me as, The Great One II. I am here to present you with your new Emperor . . . . (Emperor Satoshi's son walks out). The Great One II "EMPEROR SATOSHI II ! ! !". (the crowd begins cheer), (a large decorative pyramid opens revealing a large missile). Emperor Satoshi II "I am The Great Emperor Satoshi II ! This missile ! Is a sign ! (the missile launches upward, after a minute the missile falls down about a mile away from the Castle, destroying a statue of Emperor Satoshi I). "I will lead Jakeopia into a new path ! My father made to many errors . . . today a nation emerges ! ! ! (a helicopter flies over the castle placing a statue of Emperor Satoshi II where the old statue was).(Satoshi II raises his fist, and the crowd cheers louder)

[Samukan]

    "I present to you," the announcer, Bill Watson, yelled into the microphone, trying to keep his volume over the cheering of the crowd, "Emperor Katsuya!"
    By the time the announcer finished saying the name of the Emperor, there was no way he could be heard over the crowd's noise. The Emperor stepped out onto a balcony, and amazingly, the crowd cheered even louder. Bill could have sworn that he was going to go deaf the next day, but he was happy that the Samukanians were so happy with the Empire. For the few years after the coup d'état of the republic, the population had hated the Empire and the police were trying desperately to keep the people from kicking down the door of the Emperor's house and killing him. Luckily, though, the people began to be happy with the relative benevolence of the Second Emperor of the Realm, Katsuya. He was much better to his people than his father, Tarou, but was still as skilled in military strategy.
    Unfortunately, tensions had been rising with the formation of the JAF Alliance. The Emperor had been concerned that it would end in a war that Samukan could not win, but he continued ordering military parades and the likes to reassure the populace that Samukan was stronger than ever. He even had the media report that the JAF Alliance was no match for Samukan, even though he doubted that they would come out of a war unscathed. These were dangerous currents of politics that he was swimming through, and only one wrong move could spell doom for his people.
    Azerian battleships had been flying over Samukan for the past few days, but Katsuya assured the populace that they had made an agreement for the Azerians to fly over Samukan. However, no such agreement had been made, and Katsuya had been trying to talk with Garret V, trying to keep him from attacking Samukan. The Autarch had not responded as of yet.
    Katsuya was waving to the crowd, but his mind was on the JAF Alliance. Would he be able to get Satoshi II to come to his side? After all, Satoshi I was a very war-going leader, and had all but destroyed Gratacia years ago. Satoshi II had a statue of Satoshi I destroyed by a missile, so it wasn't out of the question that he rejected his predecessor's violent ways.
    A few hours later, when he got back to his office, he sent a request with Satoshi II for a video conference. He wanted to congratulate the new Jakeopian leader on his inauguration, and see if he couldn't get him to change his mind about the JAF...

[Azerian Empire]

Large Azerian ships outfitted with massive sound systems hover over Samukan major cities, there is a buzzing noise and then the Autarch's voice can be heard. "Populace of samukan, this is the Azerian Autarch Garret V. Surrender now or my battle ships will open fire." *As he says this hundreds of Missile Frigates come into view above Samukan cities. (So many that if you destroyed one it would be replaced by two. and this is only a fifth of my fleet.) "You will be given a grace if you are to surrender now. This is your ONLY warning. Good Day..." The message is repeated in latin and spanish before the large speaker ships fly back up above the armada line. Autarch Garret watches from orbit as all this is happening as he turned to his bridge communications officer. "Get me the JAF leaders and all ships onto my comms now." He says as he watches comm lights turn in from the fleet. "Gentlemen..." he says slowly. "It has begun!" The sound of his voice an no longer be heard from the cheers of the Azerians. Elsewhere Azerian bombers bomb any Samukan Anti-Space weaponry.

Thomas Bagel III jumped. "Oh lord, they've attacked Samukan. What can we do?" He thought for a moment.

"Ok, we'll take refugees in. Does that sound good guys?" He asked his advisors. They nodded.

Redstone lolzed evilly. They were attacking each other. That left Bagel vulnerable. And there was his chance to strike. A coup. The HLOF would be renamed Redstone Land. He made a hissing noise, which signified airships to launch towards the Bagel Lands. The ships were crowded with people trying to get on. The airships took off, and flew east, towards Wheat.

[The Military of Ethan Foley]

As Redstone thought his plan was fool-proof, he was mistaken. Big time. 50% of TMEF's Military, including Space, Land, Air, and Sea had arrived and were now occupying HLOF, including the Bagel Lands to protect them from the threart Over 3.5 billion soldiers were there, and a lot of those soldiers were guarding the capital and government buildings while patrolling the skies simultaneously. In the other side of the globe, was a different story. A much more difficult battle, but a doable on. 3.5 billion troops were sent to Samukan to destroy them. But before they were sent, 2,000 nuclear bombs and missiles, 500 super-sonic cannons, and 4,000 lasers were fired all over Samukan. The genetically superior soldiers had been modified to be able to withstand those effects, so that was not a problem.

However, the refugees entering HLOF were hung for treason. As well as anyone who rebelled against TMEF and its alliance.

[Samukan]

    "Emperor Katsuya!" A man rushed into the Emperor's office. "Sir, our spies have successfully taken over Jakeopia!"
    "Very good," Katsuya replied. "Now, the JAF is weaker, and we are all the stronger. They will be annexed into Samukan."
    The messenger left, and Katsuya picked up his phone. "General Bartley, you are now in control of the Jakeopian army as well as the Samukanian army. That's 6.835 billion land forces at your disposal. Be sure to take cover for the moment. I will let you know when it is safe to come out."
    Katsuya called another person. "General Jaydon, you are cleared to launch nuclear missiles. Launch them into the upper atmosphere to cause an EMP to disable the Azerian ships above Samukan, as well as the ones in space. The crashing ships will destroy the entire Azerian fleet, as well as damage the ground forces of the Ethan Foley soldiers. Additionally, the rocketry and detonation systems will be disabled, rendering them harmless."
    Katsuya hung up the phone, and pressed a button on his desk, which turned on a camera in front of his desk and broadcast an emergency message to Samukan. "Citizens of Samukan, please take cover in the underground sections of your buildings. There will be a number of falling objects which can cause damage to anyone that is not protected."

[Azerian Empire]

Autarch Garret stared at his moniter is disbelief. "Falling objects...?" He questioned before his eyes shot open. "Pull out the fleet! NOW!" He roared into the mic of the command ships causing the bridge to instantly become a swarm of voices and sounds. The ships that knew they would not make it opened fire on samukan buildings aswell as become a shield to block all EMP detonations from reaching the atmosphere.

When Ethan Foley saw the falling objects closing in one Ethan Foley soldiers, he laughed so hard it took over five minutes to control himself. "It has worked. My plan has worked!"

His General's weren't amused. "What -- M'lord, is so funny?" spoke one. Ethan looked at him still smiling. "Those aren't TMEF soldiers. They are all Samukan prisoners dressed in cheap knock-off uniforms and were doing construction work. The TMEF soldiers all left the area for a new target a while ago, save for 1000 TMEF soldiers to keep watch on the 1 million Samukan prisoners that were taken over the past 5 years slowly, " He began to laugh again as the rockets touched down and killed his own soldiers. "He's killing his own men." he spoke, and then began to laugh hysterically again.

However, despite this, he didn't want to mutilate the land so much, so after most of the Samukan soldiers were killed, he had his NMI's destroy the rest of the nuclear missiles. 100,000 Samukan soldiers were parachuted over Samukan. 100,000 angry and furious troops, ready to kill and attack Samukan.

"Admiral! Initiate the Type 5 Fields. This will protect our Military for many, many months."

[Samukan]

    A messenger ran into the Emperor's office. "Emperor Katsuya!"
    "Yes?"
    "Sir, the EMP attack was successful. Much of the Azerian fleet has crashed to Earth. Approximately 10,000 Samukanian civilians were killed, and much damage has been done buildings nationwide. Apparently, the Ethan Foley soldiers were in reality 1,000,000 captured Samukanian soldiers. They are employing about 100,000 other captured Samukanians to drop from the air and attack. Additionally, the Ethan Foley soldiers are employing an electromagnetic field to protect themselves. There is only one field per battalion and they protect the soldiers from ballistic and laser weapons, but the shields do not allow them to fire while active. Ours are limited to one soldier, but allow each soldier to move their gun outside the field and fire. Our shields do not protect against melee attacks."
    "Are there any additional weaknesses in the enemy shields we can exploit?"
    "Air cannot pass through the shields, so the soldiers inside only have a few hours to a day or two of air. Then, they must deactivate their shields."
    "How many infantry do we have?"
    "Over 5.3 billion, about 1.8 billion of which have shields."
    "How about space- and air-based forces?"
    "We are able to employ several hundred space-based lasers, which are protected by shields. Each one can unleash an explosion with forces similar to a nuclear one over one kilometre. We also have about 2.3 billion soldiers each in the Air Force and Space Force."
    "Alright. Deploy the infantry to the Samukanian and Jakeopian borders with Ethan Foley. Order them not to attack, but be ready to defend themselves. Have the Air Force and Space Force destroy the remaining Azerian fleet, and employ EMPs if needed. Keep back some forces to be able to defend Samukan and Jakeopia from air- and space-based attacks. If the Ethan Foley soldiers lower their shields, fire the OSLs at them, and then have the infantry move in."

Redstone cackled inside his prison. The JAF Alliance was on him like a pack of wild dogs.

"Of course the Dictator would do this! HE WANTS MORE LAND."

"But, my Lord, what about you?!"

"He can't get me in here! These prisons are sealed shut, impossible to open! He can't get in. Not a chance. Which means, If I'm alive, he can't defeat us. Send out every soldier, and attach nuclear warheads to each of them. Nuke the area. And destroy the entire island if you have to. I want the Dictator off our land!"

The Bagel Lands were overrun with troops. Ethanian super soldiers. There was no way to attempt a negotiation. There was no way that the monarchy would survive.

Little did the soldiers know that Thomas Bagel III and his family, friends, advisors, and any surviving citizens were in Samukanian Territory.

They left beforehand in fear of Redstone's invasion. When TMEF soldiers arrived, there were almost entirely dead bodies surrounding them. Any living citizen was in Samukan. They waited for Emperor Katsuya to let them in to a shelter.

(Note: All surviving Bagel citizens evacuated about a day before TMEF soldiers arrived, not sneaking out. Thomas Bagel III let the JAF Alliance take hold of the land. So it's basically Redstone VS Ethan.)

The Autarch looked at his control module. "Mere losses. Bring all shields up and deploy all ground forces to serve alongside TMEF."

OOC - Since tis my turn, I think, again, I'll establish some things before my turn commences.

Ethan, Redstone is going after Bagel, so the Bagel government is desperately trying to escape Redstone, who has so much security that they'd be able to kill Thomas Bagel III if he remained on the island, even with TMEF forces. We're escaping Redstone, not TMEF. And Redstone is about to attack.

Redstone growled. This time, it was personal. He turned on his megaphone and alert system.

"Dictator Ethan Foley, I am speaking directly to you. You have no jurisdiction on Bagel soil, because it's mine. That's right, the government is non-existent as of now. The Bagel Lands is now my land, and I control the HLOF. Completely. You're trespassing on my country. Leave now. If you decide to take over, I've taken a precautionary measure. I have about 200 men with nuclear bombs that will detonate, and leave this area a pile of dust. And I'm not afraid to destroy all my territory, since I am in a Pandorica, and you can't touch me. I'm surrounded by about 100,000 of these prisons, which are physically impossible to open. Each one weighs 100 tons, and sits next to a lava field. Near the mantle. You can't kill me, but I can kill you. And if you take over, the HLOF becomes a nuclear wasteland devoid of life, which will kill almost every living being in this territory. This also goes for Samukan, Azeria, and the Bagel Lands. You have 72 hours to repel all forces in Bagel Territory or else the bombs go off. 72 hours dictator."

Dictator Bagel looked at his GPS tracking system on his ship. He patiently waited to come across land. The choppy seas bounced off the warship, and he watched the waves while eating a bagel. He hoped land would appear soon.

[The Military of Ethan Foley]

Ethan Foley V sat with his advisers in his Command Room. It was very quiet as he sat there eyes glued to the news reports, footage, and other computer and tv monitors relaying important information. Several minutes passed. He couldn't wait for the HLOF's approval, because there wasn't enough time, and by then Redstone would blow everything up. So he decided to go with it anyways without telling the leaders of HLOF.

TIME: 3:27 AM | WHERE: Hackleberry Islands Random Neighborhood

"Move, move, move!" Captain Ethan 912812 hoarsely whispere. A line of several thousand Hackleberry citizens were in a line walking quickly to an unknown location. Soldiers were still heard knocking on each house systematically, and you could hear each say "The Military of Ethan Foley has commandeered this land and thereby orders you to evacuate this area immediately or you will be killed instantly." And then they would run into the streets frantically and quickly get into the line, often carrying little to no possessions. This was going on everywhere in Hackleberry. Each one was being loaded on Transport Ships capable of carrying 1,000,000 people with little comfort, but still enough to live by. If there was no more room on the Ships, they were put on Transport Jets and Helicopters. Ethan Foley V was literally vacating the entirety of Hackleberry Islands before the 72 hours were up, because Ethan Foley V was getting ready for one hell of a fireworks show then.

"Sir, by my calculations, only 90% of HLOF will be evacuated by the time the 72 hours is up, sir. What do you plan on doing m'lord?" spoke General Frank Hanz, the second most powerful person in Ethan Foley.

"I don't want you to evacuate the military. They will stay with us. Also, take Transport Ships, Jets, and Helicopters from Jakeopia. They are still a mess, and Samukan does not have full control of them yet, so it will be easier to do so. Also, ask Azeria if they can pick up some HLOF citizens and bring them to TMEF soil. That is all."

Frank Hanz bowed to him, and quietly went back to his computer and telephone where he quickly began to shout out orders to the military. Ethan Foley V still had a bad feeling about taking all of Hackleberry's citizens, but it was after all to save them from instant death. But he decided to send a message to Hackleberry reading: "Hello Dictator Bagel, and other members of HLOF. You're citizens have been taken by us and have been put in a safe place from harm as we deal with our common enemy, Redstone. Once HLOF is secured once more, it will be surrendered back to leaders of HLOF, and the citizens will be as well. They are being taken good care of. Thank you."

"Now time for business. Redstone" he said. "Men, launch nuclear missiles on that area. These missiles are not ordinary missiles, but with such a powerful force, they can easily reach through all 100,000 of your prisons. These missiles have been designed to destroy a Pandorica."

A loudspeaker came on for Redstone as the last of the HLOF citizens left, and the unnecessary TMEF troops left. "Redstone! Why wait? I'll start us off!" Just then, hundreds of nuclear missiles all hit on the same general area. As that happened, the diffusing of the 200 nuclear bombs was just about completed. Just then, the power that kept Redstone's health field was turned off. What would become of his bowel movements?

Also, TMEF soldiers were beginning work to disconnect Redstone from the rest of the world. After all, he already did the hard part of locking himself in an inescapable prison, Ethan Foley V thought. Cell phone and internet jammers, all sorts of other high-tech devices were being used around Redstone. His ability to communicate to the outside world would be impossible wirelessly, since there would be too much interference from the 100,000 prisons, health field, and his pure location. So it had to be done with wires going to the ground. Sensors were being used to track these very wires, and while that was going down, the wire jammer placement was still underway. Soon, even if Redstone somehow lived, he'd be trapped for an eternity in an inescapable prison. And that was assuming that the health field somehow stayed on. Ethan Foley V laughed.

The rest of TMEF was still protected by shields, as were the Azerians alongside Ethan Foley, but that was expected to change once the Redstone problem was done with. Little did Samukan know, these shields weren't what he thought they were.

Little did the soldiers know that Thomas Bagel III and his family, friends, advisors, and any surviving citizens were in Samukanian Territory.

They left beforehand in fear of Redstone's invasion. When TMEF soldiers arrived, there were almost entirely dead bodies surrounding them. Any living citizen was in Samukan. They waited for Emperor Katsuya to let them in to a shelter.

(Note: All surviving Bagel citizens evacuated about a day before TMEF soldiers arrived, not sneaking out. Thomas Bagel III let the JAF Alliance take hold of the land. So it's basically Redstone VS Ethan.)
