CONGRATULATING the Kennan region's overall commitment to combating the dangers posed by climate change to humans and the environment alike,
RECOGNIZING that while the intentions of Resolution #2 align with this commitment, the language of the resolution is rather vague and arbitrarily-assigned,
BELIEVING that setting standards of fossil fuel use is well within the responsibilities of the Secretary of Environment,
Therefore, the Kennan Regional Council,
1. STRIKES OUT Resolution #2, rendering it null and void;
2. TASKS the Secretary of Environment with setting standards of fossil fuel use that transitions Kennan from a fossil fuel-dependent region to one that can satisfy its energy demands from clean, renewable energy sources;
3. DECLARES that a violation of these standards is punishable by law.
