Hello all! Are you interested in joining the "Unity Island Diplomacy" roleplay? Then here's what you do! Back Story: Despite occasional use, Unity Island has faced constant neglect over the three years it has existed. The once well-maintained apartment buildings for diplomats are now creaking, dusty, covered in cobwebs. Ceiling lights flicker, and the wallpaper is peeling; showing the deteriorating wood underneath. The grocery store, once high class, is now nothing but a few aisles of basic foods. The floor is dirty and the cash register hasn't worked in months. The chain link fence is rusted, and the soldiers patrolling it are lacking necessary clothing and equipment, sometimes going without shoes. Most nations in Kennan recognize the important and necessity of Unity Island, but in its current state, something has to be done. And what about a city? Some argue a city would be perfect for the island. Others have doubts. What will be the fate of Unity Island? Significant Events in Nation from 2000-Present: Great War of Kennan, Many Interregional and even Multiversial events (sporting events, political conferences, etc.), the establishment (Sandwichsphere as an official cultural union/more than a non-official pact, the Kennan Civic Party, etc.), participation (KU and others), and observation of many different groups and organizations, and the annexation of two new islands to the nation. Sandwich is also a participant in major trading deals with a majority of the region. The nation is on at least neutral terms with all Kennanite nations, and willing to cooperate with all nations for the greater good of the region above anything else. However, the nation still has a good sense of its core values and protecting said beliefs on an interregional scale (as always).

Significant Events in Nation from 2000-Present: Under President Lucian Alkotrozz, Samukan established itself as a major regional power. A build-up of the U.R.S. Armed Forces and the formation of the Western Kennan Alliance led to rapidly increasing tensions with members of the Kennan Union, Ethan Foley in particular. As a result, the Great War of Kennan broke out, a three-day long war that changed the political landscape of the region. Following the end of the war, Samukan engaged in Cold War with Ethan Foley, attempting to gain a strategic advantage. However, this advantage was never reached, and Samukan began to attempt to repair relations after the election of Tobias Roffgan as President. On good terms with nearly every Kennanite nation; willing to cooperate with prior enemies.
