You're going to be participating in "The Second Great War of Kennan"? Great! There are just a few rules you will have to abide by.
1. This is an alternate universe roleplay. Whatever happens here does not affect the real Kennan or the real NationStates. It's all for fun and just to see who would win.
2. Be respectful. This should go without saying, but please respect the other players. If someone is causing problems, report them to me and I will handle them.
3. Post promptly. This is a fast-paced roleplay. All players take turns, and if you don't make a move in a day, you will be booted from the roleplay. Let me know if there is something that is preventing you from playing for a while; I promise that I will take care of it.
Now, these rules are more of a "how to play" nature.
4. Declaring war. This is a war roleplay, so there will be war. However, countries do not declare war without any reason. Maybe one country attacked yours or your country needs/wants more land and resources. You will need to elaborate on these reasons in the beginning of the roleplay, and then construct a declaration of war that officially makes your country at war with another.
5. Specify points on the RP map as specifically as possible. A "somewhere in the sea" is not appropriate. There is a scale on the map, and you should use it to specify how many kilometers (you can approximate here a bit) in what direction from what landmark. This makes everything easier.
6. Use NSTracker. This is the official website for this roleplay, and all statistics (except ones marked so) will be derived from here. Go to NSTracker, search for your country, and register it if you have not already. Then, under "Settings", allow roleplay statistics and customize as many statistics as you want.
7. Attacking and defending. Whenever you want to attack another country, you will need to deploy your forces in order to take their cities. Be warned - the countries will fight back. Engage in battles using roleplay. These cannot be ignored. Please try to be realistic (according to the technology level), and let me know if you feel that someone is not roleplaying realistically.
8. Advantages. Each country will have some sort of advantage that no other country has that will be determined at the beginning of the roleplay. These cannot be changed during the roleplay, and will be approximately equal to the advantages of other countries.
9. Turn order. The turn order is as follows:
