[The Military of Ethan Foley]

Hi guys! The poll on NationStates suggested most of you guys wanted a war role-play, so here it is! War of the Worlds!

Back Story: It has been years since a giant war last broke out in Kennan. Angry sentiments from the Great War of Kennan that ended with a shaky cease-fire and unofficial truce a decade ago has worsened over years of failed attempts to improve relations. Tensions have built up to a breaking point and one small event is about to set Kennan off into one of the greatest and deadliest wars the region has ever seen. 

Two weeks ago, Aldovnia settled in Kennan and claimed to be the most powerful nation in Kennan and declared Ethan Foley to be a heathen and blasphemer. Outraged, the power hungry, egocentric Supreme Dictator Ethan Foley V signed off on Operation Superpower on September 4th, 2015, foreshadowing the horrifying reality that was to come just a few days later in the continent of Caledonia, where Aldovnia reigned. 

Ignoring national waters and land boundaries, 50,000 Ethanian military personnel marched on foot and by boat to Caledonia where the beginning of a world war would begin. On his way, the Supreme Dictator Ethan Foley V also declared war on the Hackleberry Islands, Samukan, and Saphlua for "disrespect of the glorious Supreme Dictator". 

The region of Kennan is once more in a state of total war.

2. Rules.

• Be respectful and mindful of your fellow rp'ers. 
• Post regularly. At least one post per day is fine, up to 5 if you desire per day.
• Don't make several posts in a row. 
• Be specific and include lots of details. Locations, times, names and such are welcomed. "Somewhere in Caledonia" is not an acceptable location, but "village 50 miles north of Aldovnian capital" is. 
• Use the best grammar you can. I understand English is not everyone's first language, so just do your best and that's fine.
• Do not god mod. You cannot control another nation or its people without their consent, nor can you know the whereabouts of every enemy unit (in most cases). 

• On a similar note, do not use unrealistic numbers. "WE SEND 300 MILLION SOLDIERS AND SPACE SHIPS TO YOUR NATION TRAVELLING AT LIGHT SPEED WITH LASER BEAMS TO KILL YOUR PEOPLE LOL" is not even close to acceptable. Look at the military's and technologies of nations in the real world and base it off of them. You are not God. You are never unbeatable. 

• Be realistic with your losses. If someone drops a nuclear missile on your capital, you cannot say "Well they all went to underground shelters so only like 2 thousand died." Also realize that anti-missile technology is really shitty in this time period and you cannot shoot down most or all of enemy missiles.

I hope it is okay to rate my military an 8 because it seems like me and Ethan will be the main competitors.

In defense forces I'm rated 132, Ethan is 205 and Aldovnia is 19. I don't know if this would apply here but if so then I underestimated my military power.

Special Strength (ex. powerful navy, air force, missile systems, etc.): Research into advanced weaponry and a developing space program (railguns, nuclear weaponry, ADAPTIV type cloaking technology, research into quantum entanglement, etc.) P.S. The power of these technologies are balanced by the cost of production and research, which currently makes production difficult.
Strength of Military (scale of 1-10): 2.5 (after comparison to Spaztislavia, I decided that it's more like 2 or 3 than 1)

Size of Military: 3 Million personnell in the Great Carlistinian armed forces (including non-combat staff such as the the Logistics Corp etc), with around 1.6 million combatant staff in colonial forces.
Special Strength (ex. powerful navy, air force, missile systems, etc.): Extremely accurate intelligence, which can be very nerve-racing and frightening at diplomatic gatherings and a high above the average defense force.
Strength of Military (scale of 1-10): 8 (no idea how to best calculate this)

Significant Events in Nation from 2000-Present: Due to the recently brutally supressed Jonistavian uprising, military funding all over the Empire has hit a new high, with a huge ammount of young adults having been conscripted. The 53rd Colonial Guard regiment is currently still consolidating gains from the Conquest of Orvendale.
