My Dear Fellow Kennanites, As you may or may not have been aware of, both the Secretary of Elections and the Secretary of Administration have been usurped from their positions (By this time, Samukan has been reinstated to Secretary of Administration). It is Joe the Disgruntled Office Employee’s duty to inform Kennan that this occurrence is directly related to the WA Delegate Elections for the May/June cycle. Sadly, the WA Delegate in power, Vinco, fears his or her removal from the position of WA Delegate. JTDOE regrets the fact that its leader did, in jest, mention the removal of Vinco from the position of WA Delegate. This jest has been received with threats, policy changes and midnight appointments. JTDOE feels the laws of Kennan have been exploited for the benefit of the few. It asks those members of Kennan who would have democracy, is this what a proper leader does? is this how a Delegate acts? In addition, JTDOE would like to point out that the reason for its removal, and one part of Executive Order #4, was the mandate that elections be held at the beginning of the month. This is supposedly supported by KRC Resolution #115. However, nowhere in KRC Resolution #115 does it state that elections are required to be held at the beginning of the month. Pursuant to the coincidentally recent Executive Order #4, Joe the Disgruntled Office Employee may very well be ejected from Kennan after this message is posted. Therefore, it asks all Kennanites who desire fair and proper elections to immediately withdraw their endorsements from Vinco and endorse Samukan, which JTDOE believes to be the correct choice for WA Delegate. Please Kennanites, for our nations, for our region, for the common good, banish tyranny from this region. May the Fourth be with all fair and just nations, JTDOE

Greetings, fellow Kennanites.
Many of you may be surprised that Samukan will be participating in this election, as it is the founder of Kennan. Some of you have asked if this is too much power given to one nation. However, the founder already possesses many of the delegate's powers, and Samukan has not previously abused this authority. Additionally, Samukan has proven through its nearly four-year term as Secretary of Administration that it possesses the responsibility to fairly wield authority in the regional government.
"Then why become delegate?" you may ask. As delegate, a nation has the ability to unite and lead Kennanite nations towards a single goal. We do not want power. We want to have the opportunity to help Kennan establish itself among the regions of the world.
If Samukan is elected delegate, its primary goal will be to increase participation in the regional government. Kennan currently has about ten World Assembly member nations and several other enfranchised nations, but regional politics is dominated by three of four nations. Although Samukan is among this political elite, we believe that greater participation will form a stronger community.
To encourage participation, Samukan will lead efforts to simplify the regional government. As it stands, the Kennanite government is confusing and convoluted in its laws and resolutions. As delegate, Samukan would play a crucial leadership role in efforts to clarify the operations of government. With increased clarity comes decreased corruption.
The government can be simplified and strengthened with a strong foundation. Nearly every government in existence has established itself with a written constitution. We have discussed a constitution for the regional government on multiple occasions, with two failed constitutional conventions. If Samukan is elected delegate, then it promises to complete a written constitution by the end of June.
As for how Samukan would lead others, we would appoint a variety of active and dedicated nations to the Secretary Council and coordinate their actions to achieve our common goals. Although the Secretary Council has existed for three years, there has only been sparse communication between secretaries and the delegate. Samukan would like to set a precedent for better cooperation.
Samukan has talked about strengthening the government for a long time; this may lead others to fear that we will infringe on their rights as sovereign nations. However, as delegate, Samukan would protect nations' rights, both through its policies and legislative efforts, including a bill of rights in the constitution. Other nations have no need to fear tyranny and repression from a Samukani administration.
Of course, the most important quality of a leader is its willingness to listen to others. As delegate, Samukan pledges to operate transparently and communicate frequently with Kennanite nations. If any nation has even the harshest of criticisms, it need not fear repercussions, and its complaints will be taken seriously.
Thank you for your consideration and your support. Samukan hopes to work with the rest of the region as delegate in May and June.

Good day, my fellow Kennanites,
I realize that my announcement for WA Delegate may surprise many, as I haven't been vocal about my willingness to run for this position yet, but I feel as though I am the best choice for the delegate position at this time.
I would first like to state that there are plenty of nations who would be fine WA Delegates for our region. There is no question about that. So, why am I running, you ask? It is simple: I believe that I have the experience necessary and the willingness wanted from the region to run the position. The Sandwich Territories has proven itself a worthy WA Delegate in the past, one that has maintained its moral values and promises to the region without failure. The ability of the Sandwich Territories to include anyone in our regional politics has been established, and has led the way to now-prominent nations into the inner workings of our region.
However, my candidacy is not one focused just on what I have done for this region in the past, it is also focused on what I can do for the region now and in time to come.
To begin, surely, the region is in need of ensuring the ability of anyone to have a spot in our politics, as long as said nation is willing to perform their duties. My first promise as WA Delegate is to ensure that, if elected, I will be willing to review new cabinet positions with anyone who applies for a position being reviewed in an impartial manner. The fact of the matter is that many nations who have not been very involved in this region's history could become a strong, fundamental part of this region in the future. It is necessary for all nations to have the ability to shape the home that they live in.
Secondly, the state of laws and regulations in Kennan haven't been improved on for some time, especially not with much excitement or effort. I am aware that many nations wish for this to be different, and as such, I will ensure that all nations willing to work on improving the Constitution of our region will have the ability to do so in an organized manner, and furthermore, I will focus on ensuring that the people of Kennan are aware of the impact they can have on our regional laws through amendments and resolutions.
I further believe that the state of some parts of the region need to be updated. I believe that our foreign affairs, while improving under the excellent work of Crispy Christy, need to once again have a focused approach to ensure that we can create beneficial connections with other regions, including the looking over of previously established embassies.
Many of you at this point will begin to wonder that, while there are ways that I am separated from other candidates, what truly sets me apart from them. I believe that, at this point, the fact of the matter is that the concentration of power in regional politics is not something that we ought to follow through with. While the political establishment in our region has acted in good will and has been beneficial for this region, I believe that there needs to be just more than representation of these smaller nations by the establishment.
"But aren't you an establishment nation, Sandwich?", you may be asking.
I have been delegate many times in the past, when this region was growing, and I was the head of foreign affairs for some time a while ago. I can't ignore this, and will rather take pride in this. However, plenty of time has passed since my previous involvement in regional politics, and I feel like my re-involvement in Kennan politics will bring something new to the position that hasn't been felt yet. My hope is that, my appointment as delegate will pave the way for nations who want to be delegate, and have the ability to be so. In accordance with that, I will be able to use my knowledge as experience, along with my new wave of energy to allow all nations who want to be involved in the political process of Kennan to be as such.
To state it bluntly, I will use my experience and my new wave of political rule to begin to make Kennan a more united, open political region. That, in a region like ours, is necessary for the survival of our region in a political sense.
Thank you for your time, and regardless of the result, I hope to be working with all of you in bringing a new era of Kennan politics as soon as possible.

My fellow Kennanites, There are those among us who would be dictators. There are those who would be benevolent leaders. And there are those who would merely preserve the status quo of our great region. Fellow Kennanites, Joe the Disgruntled Office Employee is not among those in the third group. JTDOE is a dedicated, hard-working nation. JTDOE is democratic, fair, and even-handed. Most importantly, JTDOE is an outsider.
JTDOE, as an outsider, is much more capable of forming a stable democracy than an establishment candidate. JTDOE does not feel an obligation to any bloc or party -- its only goal is the unification of Kennan under fairness and equality. Joe the Disgruntled Office Employee stands by its word as a nation, and intimidation cannot silence it. Joe the Disgruntled Office Employee is the David to the Goliath of Kennan’s established elite, the Bishop Desmond Tutu to the apartheid of Kennan, the (dare I say?) Simón José Antonio de la Santísima Trinidad Bolívar y Palacios to the imperial powers of Kennan. Joe the Disgruntled Office Employee would make an excellent World Assembly Delegate.
A WA Delegate should be fair, decisive, and sparing with his or her power. They represent the vast majority of the regions of NationStates. They dole out positions within their region. They keep order and maintain an active online presence. They must do their job, and they must do it well.
Kennanites, I ask you, which nation represents your interests the most? Which nation stuck up for the common person in times of strife? Which nation would heed your every complaint, and work to fix it? JTDOE genuinely hopes to be the answer to those questions.
Kennanites, I trust that your choices for WA Delegate truly reflect your countries’ views. I trust that you will seriously consider all of the candidates, and pick the one that seems the strongest. I trust that, no matter which nation wins the title of WA Delegate, Kennan will continue to grow in strength and unity.
Thank you all, Joe the Disgruntled Office Employee
